Absolutely CLASSIC. Ayn Rand is rolling over in her grave.
But you neglected one very important factor, LEAD POISONING. It was actually a larger factor in the rise of violent crime than choice was. Look up "lead, the real criminal element." It was banning leaded gasoline, more than choice, that led, 22 years later, to falling crime rates across the board.
And it wasn't just crime in general. Atmospheric lead specifically targeted poor black populations, because tailpipe emissions are more heavily concentrated in the inner cities. Class oppression AND racial oppression AND economic advantage, it was the gift that keeps on giving.
And they BANNED it. Go figure.
