first of all, we don't live in a system of pure capitalism. We have a big public sector economy that's effectively socialist in nature.

And if you have a better idea i'd like to hear it. Look at what we're already paying for the gargantuan government industrial complex we live under.

How much of our GDP goes right down the shitter already, thanks to over regulation and bureaucracy?

We need more of that?

That is the most ridiculous round about cluster *uck thinking ever. If we had more regulation and planning instead of the every man for himself capitalist freeforall we wouldn't be in this mess.

Social democracy is not the same as socialism. Government provided roads and other infrastructure are not the same as government owned means of production.
