here we go again….

You are perpetuating harmful stereotypes about a culture

you wanna give an example of that, someone who’s actually done that?

You are upholding the status quo (i.e. racial hierarchy)

you wanna say HOW that works, like HOW wearing a certain style of clothing supports racist oppression?

You are ignoring the inherent power structures that keep marginalised communities down

and just how does wearing certain clothing express ignorance of any kind of power structure?

You are reducing a culture to a costume

how? that’s just a catchphrase that you think you can shoehorn into the service of your groundless argument.

You are being disrespectful about where you are wearing the outfit (for example, wearing a burqa to a fetish night)

so you DO understand the concept of hypothetical reality. or did you actually see somebody doing that?

You are being disrespectful about how you are wearing the outfit

repeating the same assertion with slightly different words don’t make it any more credible

You are wearing the outfit or using the cultural element in a way that a person from that culture would not

so NOT committing cultural appropriation is cultural appropriation, too. at least you have the candor to explicitly state your forgone intention of presenting yet one more purely fabricated excuse for expressing blind animosity toward white america with no regard for logic or reality.

not that i have any fondness for white america (quite the opposite in fact) but this is perhaps the most transparent example i’ve seen of a favorite tactic of androphobes and SJWs everywhere called semantical conjuring. How can i analyse somebody’s perfectly innocuous behavior and come up with the concepts and terminology which will turn that behavior into an act of oppression. The term “cultural appropriation” is itself the most perfect example of semantical conjuring i’ve ever seen. Extreme feminists are green with envy. It’s nothing but pure smoke from the git-go, and nobody has EVER come up with a single example of it that can realistically be regarded as anything but a purely contrived complaint with no substance whatsoever, blatantly motivated by nothing but blind tribal animus, and yet which superficially SOUNDS credible enough (if you don’t ask what it really means) to be gleefully exploited by content providers for click bait and an easy buck.
