i seen a lot of different definitions of woke lately, it's a word that naturally tends to align in peoples' minds with either enlightenment or ignorance (depending on where the individual tends to fall along certain tribal divisions) and then gets piled on with other (possibly invalid) semantical associations depending on that alignment.

Seems to me you're putting a square peg into a not-so-square hole.
