is this a joke? satire? did you really just write an entire article about the long-term effects of paranoia, hypochondria, and obsession with one’s health and outward appearance without having any idea that this is what you’re actually writing about?

Seriously? did this Dr Zirwas spend all those years studying the health effects of negative attitude, fear, and self-image, and he honest-to-God never ONCE considered the beyond obvious fact that these patients of his have this thing called MENTAL OUTLOOK that plays a part in their long term health outcomes?

really? it NEVER crossed his mind that just maybe the healthier sun-worshiper patients…. uuhhhhh, idunnu…. maybe lived a different LIFESTYLE than the sicker patients? maybe have different typical stress levels than the ones who spend their lives sitting in waiting rooms obscessing about bullshit?

am i hallucinating? it’s about SUNLIGHT? UV? vitamin D?

just maybe there’s an invisible price you pay for a lifetime of sunscreen, medicines, bug spray, air-conditioning, tinted windows, dust masks, protective clothing, forever working harder and spending more money to insulate your body from your exterior. heaven forbid, what if you started using these things **only when you NEED them**. heaven forbid you actually let your body ADAPT to your exterior like we all used to do.

ever heard of the Hygiene Hypothesis? google it.

ever heard of the myriad studies that show the relationship between attitude and health? https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&source=hp&ei=wYA7XYSUFcjY0gKX8YXwAQ&q=beliefs+about+stress&oq=beliefs+about+stress
