There are possible (partial) solutions. For instance, lot of counties have a "one year" rule. Buy a plot, bring a tiny house/vehicular domicile, and they give you one year to set up a compliant residence or get out. So that's a year of legal dwelling before you sell and go somewhere else.

Or, if ya wanna give em a metaphorical middle finger, you n ur hommie each buy a plot at contiguous/proximate locations at the same time. Wait a year, then each sell his deed to the other, maybe the dwellings too. Now ya got 2 years of legal dwelling with minimum effort of relocating. And just keep doing that, tell the BS dept. to screw themselves, and if they wanna get rid of you, it's on them to come up with some kind of new regulation that LOOKS like a legitimate safety issue and still will accomplish their objective.

And if ya really wanna bust their balls, attend and record their committee meetings and interrupt them with legitimate questions that will force em to show their real intentions for youtube.

in fact, i'll do exactly that if/when i get the chance.
